Well, we left on Monday morning, arrived noon time. Set up cabin, which was 50's style but still cool....we headed out around 5 pm,the boat would not start, 10 amps, so i changed batteries. We headed north to "Brama Island". Afterover 1 hour, I missed one because I was using another pole trying different baits cause we were not getting bites. Then storm clouds forced us back to marina.
Next day up at 5:30am, on water by 6:30am, headed back to same area, just a little more north. In weed area no bites, but Jodi landed a 26" to 28" chain pickerell ! Then we were going to move to new area, when we had no power!! Checked fuses, had to Troll back to marina, which took a while. We were lucky though the wind was light and water calm. After loading boat on trailor, it looked like I lost the "ground". So I decided not to take boat back out. I repaired it when we returned home. That day we spent going into town to do the "tourist thing". Lake Wales is a small town, but we found a great Tackle shop called "The Fisherman's Candy Store", and it lived up to its name. We also had dinner at "Manny ChopHouse" "I highly recommend it.
